Cost:
5 Energy Points per Skill Level (SL)

Target:
One enemy

Time for Effect:
Instant

Effect:
Max 4d10 DAM /SL (mod by ATT and target?s DEF)

Description:
Spell. A fiery beam leaps from the wizard?s hand and slams into the enemy, causing a maximum of 4d10 (four 10-sided dices, this is 4-40) points of magic damage per skill level. Damage dealt will range from zero to this maximum according to the caster?s Attack against the target?s Defense.

Is the Effect really 4d10(4-40damage), cause it seems more like 2d10(2-20) for me?

Hello Stephen, please notice that 4d10 is the maximum damage. Damage dealt will range from zero to this maximum according to the caster’s Attack against the target’s Defense.

This is, 4 10-sided dices are rolled, and this result is modified attending to your attack and your target's defense. The more higher be your ATT than your target's DEF, the nearest to the roll will be the final result. The lower your ATT than your target's DEF, the most near to zero will be your final result of damage. Commonly, when your ATT equal to the target's DEF, the final result use to be 1/2 of the rolls (not exactly 2d10 but 4d10/2 what is very similar but not exactly the same), but this is not a rule and this could be affected by the potece level of enhancement of the skill, or may vary from a skill to other.

Hope what I meant could be understood, my english grammar after a whole day of coding is not as it should be! @@o
